Vacuum Truck Services
Do I need a vac truck?
It depends upon the tank you are removing. Based on the tank size and how many inches of oil, gas, diesel, hydraulic fluid, water, etc. are in the bottom of the tank will determine if a vac truck will be needed or just a simple pump and a few 55 gallon drums.
Prior to our arriving at the site on the day of the tank removal, we will “stick the tank” to determine the approximate amount of gallons left in the tank. This way the day the job starts our onsite tank removal team will be prepared to properly begin the tank removal process, without any delay.
What Vacuum Truck Service Entails
Excavate & Expose UST
We’ll dig down to and expose the top of the tank.
Pump Out Any Liquid
We’ll remove any liquid that is remaining in the tank.
Remove Sludge & Clean
The “solid” waste oil sludge can’t be pumped out, so we’ll take all that out, too, and dispose of it.
Remove Tank & Inspect
We’ll take the tank itself out of the ground and inspect the tank and soil beneath for leaks. Soil samples may be taken.
Once the tank is out and leaks have been ruled out, we’ll backfill the hole with certified clean fill & compact to avoid settling.
We’ll top off the excavation with the original surface – either grass, mulch, driveways, you name it. It’ll be like it never even happened!
