Diesel tank removal and installation Newark, DE

We were contacted by an LSRP that has a nationwide client with a corporate campus in Newark, DE that needed 2 Diesel tanks removed. One tank turned into a 1,000 and 8,000 gallons to be replaced with a 1,500 gallon and a 3,000 gallon above tanks to run their generators in the event of a power outage.

1,000 and 8,000 gallon Diesel tank removal

The location for the new 3,000 gallon tank was determined to be unsuitable so we needed to construct a retaining wall and a structural slab with fencing around it at the new tank location.

The entire project was done in phases over the course of several weeks.  During the excavation of the 8,000 gallon tank we narrowly missed hitting a 6” natural gas line supplying the building that was not marked out by the utility company or the ground penetrating radar scan.  Due to having a great spotter on the ground, an accident was avoided.

Both tanks that were removed were in great shape without any holes or signs of leaking so there was no need for a contamination clean up.  Soil samples were taken from the excavation to confirm.

Safety above all else is always the priority on every job, both large and small.  We’ve been helping property owners remove their underground tanks and contaminated soil and we can help you too.  Call us, we answer our phones.  973-670-6334
