Oil Tank Removal Kenilworth NJ

Excavating an Oil Tank in a Crawlspace by Hand.

We were contacted by a subsurface evaluator that had a relative in Kenilworth that had started their project with a different oil tank removal company.  They had come to his home, dug a hole in the wrong spot and things fell apart at that point.

We did a site visit which located the tank underneath a 3′ tall crawlspace which was logistically very difficult and was determined to have approximately 200 gallons of fuel left inside. The homeowner made the decision to switch contractors and go with us. After obtaining a new permit we mobbed to the site, pumped out the remaining fuel in the tank and started hand digging.

The tank had to be cut into pieces to be removed out of the confined area. The steel on the tank was unusually thick which made it difficult to cut but because of the thickness of the steel the tank had not leaked. This was an excellent outcome as a remediation would have been extremely difficult and even more costly than normal because of working in a crawl space and having to hand dig.

We’ve been removing underground storage tanks for 25 years and have the knowledge, experience and expertise to get the job done correctly even when the difficulty level is high. We specialize in Oil Tank Removal in NJ, PA, DE & CT
